The Orioles made their first attempt to improve their left-handed depth by claiming reliever Jed Bradley off waivers from the Braves.

Bradley, 26, went 1-1 with a 5.14 ERA over six relief appearances with the Braves, allowing four earned runs over seven innings. He walked six batters, two intentionally. He earned the win in his major league debut on Sept. 3 in Philadelphia.

Bradley was 9-5 with a 3.09 ERA in 35 minor league games, including 13 starts, between Double-A Biloxi, Double-A Mississippi and Triple-A Gwinnett.

The Braves acquired Bradley from the Brewers on June 2 for a player to be named or cash considerations.

In 141 career minor league games (77 starts), Bradley has gone 31-34 with a 4.34 ERA and 396 strikeouts in 499 1/3 innings.

The Brewers selected Bradley in the first round of the 2011 draft out of Georgia Tech, making him the 15th overall pick.

I don't have a uniform number for him, so hold off buying the jersey.

Janish re-signed with the Orioles over the winter and batted .194/.286/.226 (6-for-31) with one double and three runs scored in 14 games. He didn't make an appearance after being added to the expanded roster.
