Sox score eight late runs to top Birds

The Red Sox scored three times in the 7th to break a 3-3 tie and went on to an 11-5 win over the Orioles, in front of 39,285 Saturday night at Camden Yards. Kevin Youkilis, J.D. Drew and Mike Lowell came up with RBI singles in the frame vs. the Birds Matt Albers and Alberto Castillo. The rally enabled Jon Lester to pick up yet another win vs. the Orioles. Lester, who pitched six innings and allowed three runs on 10 hits, is 4-0 this year in four starts vs. the Orioles. In 12 career starts, he is 10-0, 2.39 vs. Baltimore. Boston scored five times off Bob McCrory in the 8th to break the game open as Drew hit a three-run homer and Brian Anderson followed with a solo blast. O's starter David Hernandez was not involved in the decision. He gave up seven hits and three runs in six innings. Matt Wieters, batting third for the first time, went 3 for 5 with an RBI. Ty Wigginton and Felix Pie hit back-to-back homers in the last of the 9th. Wigginton hit a pair of solo homers on the night. Boston, which has won nine of its last ten games, improved to 26-11 since August 10th. The Sox are 15-2 this year vs. the Orioles.
