Stinson outrighted to Norfolk, Game 2 lineups

The Orioles reinstated left-hander Troy Patton from the restricted list and outrighted reliever Josh Stinson to Triple-A Norfolk. Stinson already has cleared waivers. Patton, 28, went 2-0 with a 3.70 ERA in a career-high 56 appearances for the Orioles in 2013. He made four rehab appearances with Norfolk on his rehab assignment, allowing two earned runs in 4 2/3 innings. Patton served a 25-game suspension for amphetamine use. Stinson, 26, allowed nine earned runs on 16 hits and six walks while striking out six in 11 1/3 innings over seven appearances this season. It's raining hard here and the tarp is on the field. Game 2 is supposed to start around 8:10 p.m., but I don't like our chances. Manny Machado is batting second in Game 2. Steve Pearce is back at first base.
