Ramón Urías is out of the lineup tonight with a bruised heel. However, Urías said he’s feeling better and should be available off the bench.
Urías hit his heel with his bat during last night’s game and was removed after the sixth inning.
“It feels good,” he said. “Just a little sore today.”
Jordan Westburg is the third baseman tonight. Colton Cowser is playing center field.
Second baseman Adam Frazier is back in the lineup after jamming his right thumb during the last game in Toronto.
Outfielder Aaron Hicks said he’s meeting Triple-A Norfolk in Jacksonville to play two games on an injury rehab assignment. Hicks will rejoin the Orioles in San Diego next week and be reinstated from the injured list.
“I’ve been feeling pretty good,” said Hicks, who’s on the IL with a strained left hamstring. “Running’s been going great, outfield stuff has been going good. I feel like I’m moving around pretty well. Ready to go.”
Two games worth of at-bats should be enough for Hicks.
“I went 14 days without it and did pretty good,” he said, referring to the gap between playing for the Yankees and Orioles.
“I feel like going out there, play nine innings, get eight-to-nine at-bats, be ready to go,” he said.
