This week, we're digging a little deeper to bring you a couple of "Nationals Classics" on MASN HD.
First, don't miss a grand finale from Nationals shortstop Ian Desmond against the Phillies.
Second, you can re-watch Barry Bonds record-breaking home run from 2007. Don't worry, despite the history, the Nationals still got the win on the road against the Giants.
Here's what's on deck on MASN HD:
Tuesday, Feb. 10, 11:30 a.m.: Who doesn't love a battle with the Phillies? On June 19, 2013, the Nationals were trailing the Phillies 2-1 in the top of the ninth. Jayson Werth tied the game with an RBI single off closer Jonathan Pablebon. The game remained knotted at 2-2 until the 11th inning. With the bases loaded and just one out, Desmond stepped to the plate. He then knocked a grand slam to deep left-center field to give the Nats a 6-2 lead. Rafael Soriano pitched a 1-2-3 ninth to preserve the Nats' win.
Wednesday, Feb. 11, 9 a.m.: During the 2007 season, all eyes were on Bonds' pursuit of Hank Aaron's home run record. On August 7, 2007, history was made as Bonds hit his 756th home run of his career to surpass Aaron's all-time record. Bonds hit the historic longball off of Nats starter Mike Bacsik in the fifth inning. Ultimately, the Nationals won the game 8-6 thanks to a four-run eighth inning.
