What's your take on Thome?

In seven games as an Oriole, Jim Thome is batting just .200 with no extra-base hits and one RBI. He is 5-for-25 with 11 strikeouts and just one multi-hit game. In interleague games with Philadelphia, Thome went 12-for-36 with four homers, 14 RBIs and an OPS of 1.137. But so far with the Orioles, his slugging percentage is just .200 and his OPS is only .486. Thome was hitless in four at-bats Friday night against the Tigers and admitted before the game that his swing has just not come around yet in his short time with Baltimore. "To be honest with you, it's an ongoing process," Thome said Friday afternoon in the Orioles clubhouse. "It was fortunate that I got to go down to Florida before interleague play and get some at-bats on my (injury) rehab and once I hit interleague, I felt pretty good. But went back to Philly and kind of sat on the bench there, so I think baseball is an everyday process, so hopefully I can get those at-bats and get into a groove. It's an ongoing process for sure." Thome, of course, is an accomplished player with a long and full baseball resume. He is tied for seventh on the all-time homers list with 609 and, among active players, only Alex Rodriguez (641) has hit more. But his best days and seasons are certainly behind him now at 41. What's your take on Thome? Can he hit enough to help the Orioles? Can his bat get going as it did for Philadelphia in interleague games?
