We're just 31 days from the start of spring training. If you ask me, it can't come soon enough.
To fill your baseball void, we have three "Nationals Classics" this week on MASN HD.
We kick things off with everyone's favorite fictional holiday, "Clinchmas."
Here's what's on deck this week:
Monday, Jan. 19, 7 p.m.: Enjoy today's holiday by reliving another one - Clinchmas. That's right, today you can enjoy the Nationals' clinching of the National League East in Atlanta this past Sept. 16. The Nats beat the Braves 3-0 behind seven strong innings from Tanner Roark and a home run from Ian Desmond. Watch the game and stick around for the postgame celebration. And remember, "There is no wrong pipe."
Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1 p.m.: Stephen Strasburg made his memorable major league debut against the Pirates on June 8, 2010 with one of the greatest games of his career. Strasburg struck out 14 over seven innings and allowed just two runs. Ryan Zimmerman, Adam Dunn and Josh Willingham all homered in the Nats' 5-2 win.
Thursday, Jan. 22, 9 a.m.: Bryce Harper took the majors by storm when he made his debut in April 2012. Against the Mets on June 5, 2012, the Nationals found themselves in yet another extra-inning game. Like many of the Nats' wins that season, the team trailed late, this time as the game shifted to the bottom of the 12th. Desmond singled home Michael Morse to knot the score, and five batters later, Harper drove in the game-winning run to give the Nats a 7-6 win.
