Dan Kolko to host "Nats Insider" on 106.7 The Fan every Saturday morning throughout Nats season

MASN's Nationals on-field reporter Dan Kolko is known by many names to our loyal fans and viewers. "MASN Dan," "DK" and "TV's Dan Kolko" are just a few examples.

Starting this season, we have another nickname to add to the list: "Radio Dan."

In addition to his MASN broadcast duties for this upcoming regular season, Kolko will also be hosting a weekly "Nats Insider" show on the Nationals flagship radio station 106.7 The Fan every Saturday from 8-9 a.m. The station released Kolko's joining of their team for 2018 in their announcement on Wednesday of a five-year agreement to extend its seven-year partnership with the Nationals starting this season.

"This is an exciting opportunity for me to partner with the Nationals' flagship radio station and provide a place for Nationals fans every single week to listen to an hour of straight baseball talk and coverage of the team they care so much about," Kolko said. "I hope that the relationships I've developed with Nationals players, coaches and front office staffers over my years covering the team will allow me to get some insightful interviews and allow for some fun segments, too.

"This will be a chance for fans to hopefully find out some fun tidbits about their favorite players and coaches and to maybe get some behind-the-scenes information about how the team operates on a daily basis. So this is a really exciting opportunity for me, I'm really grateful to 106.7 and the Nationals for coming to me with this opportunity. And I hope fans listen in every Saturday morning, call in with questions and keep the conversation going because this is an exciting team and I know there are a lot of people in the area that are fired up for the 2018 season, and I'm ready to have another place to discuss everything that's going on."

You can listen to "Nats Insider" every Saturday morning on 106.7 The Fan at 8 a.m. starting March 31, two days after opening day. And just because Kolko's on the road with the team, doesn't mean you'll miss out on a hour of fun radio. Whether home or away, the show will go on throughout the season. And "Radio Dan" is looking forward to you contributing to the fun.

"I'm planning on taking calls and having trivia," Kolko said. "Maybe quizzing the players on themselves a little bit on their careers and trying to do some fun stuff like that. And mixing in some hard-hitting baseball analysis as well. And I'll be talking every week with a member of the Nationals marketing department about what's coming up in terms of promotions, ticket specials and things like that. So it'll be a chance as well for fans to find out about all the exciting stuff that'll going on at the park when the team's in town."

For the fifth season, you can catch Kolko as the on-field reporter for MASN broadcasts of Nationals games, joining play-by-play voice Bob Carpenter and color analyst F.P. Santangelo.
