Last week, shortstop Ian Desmond and Anthony Rendon won Silver Slugger Awards for being the top offensive players at their respective positions.
Tomorrow, manager Matt Williams will find out if he's been named National League Manager of the Year for leading the 2014 Nationals to the best record in baseball.
I know, I know, - awards season is not the same as watching actual baseball games.
If you're missing your Nationals, however, you have the opportunity to watch five "Nationals Classics" this week on MASN HD.
Here's what's on deck this week:
Monday, Nov. 10, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.: You have two opportunities to catch the Nationals today on MASN HD. At 1 p.m., watch Adam Dunn's three-homer game from July 7, 2010. This was the first time Dunn accomplished the feat in his career as the Nats beat the Padres 7-6. At 7 p.m., tune in to see Jayson Werth's eighth-inning grand slam, which powered the Nats to a 10-7 win over the Marlins on April 9 this year.
Tuesday, Nov. 11, 9 a.m.: Do you have the day off to commemorate Veterans Day? Tune in to MASN HD and catch the Nats' 5-4 win over the Pirates in Pittsburgh. Ryan Church hit his 10th homer of the year and closer Chad Cordero picked up his 23rd save on June 22, 2005, the Nats' inaugural season.
Wednesday, Nov. 12, noon: Outfielder Josh Willingham only played two seasons with the Nationals, but he often had a flair for the dramatic. This includes hitting a walk-off home run to beat the Orioles on May 23, 2010.
Friday, Nov. 14, noon: In 2005, the Nationals found themselves involved in the National League wild card race. The Nats defeated the Phillies in the 12th inning on Sept. 3, thanks to Jose Guillen's walk-off single. The win kept the Nats to within three games of the Phillies, who were leading the wild card race.
