For the second time in three days, Matt Williams' lineup has Kevin Frandsen playing second base, with Danny Espinosa on the bench.
Frandsen gets the start today as the Nationals take on Marlins right-hander Henderson Alvarez. The switch-hitting Espinosa would typically be a better option against a righty starter, but Espinosa is now 0-for-his-last-13 with eight strikeouts and is hitting .123 with 34 strikeouts in 74 at-bats this month.
Williams pinch-hit Frandsen for Espinosa in the ninth inning last night against Miami's right-handed closer Steve Cishek.
Blake Treinen will make his third big league start tonight for the Nats.
