ATLANTA - The Nationals look to make it two in a row tonight against the Braves, but they'll do so without the league's leading hitter or their veteran first baseman in the starting lineup. Daniel Murphy gets a rare (but deserved) night off. That's not a huge surprise. But the lack of Ryan Zimmerman in the lineup is a surprise, given that Dusty Baker yesterday said there was a "good chance" he and Jose Lobaton would be activated off the disabled list, not to mention that both players were in the clubhouse after last night's game. We'll have to find out what the deal is there.
With Murphy out, Baker did shake up a couple of things in his lineup. Jayson Werth, who tonight will attempt to break Rusty Staub's Expos/Nats franchise record by reaching base in his 47th consecutive game, will bat fifth instead of the 2-spot where he has been so successful all summer. Ben Revere will bat second behind Trea Turner.
Tanner Roark, meanwhile, looks to continue his recent dominant run, facing the Braves and right-hander Julio Teheran. There's the possibility of more rain in the forecast tonight, but it looks like it will come late (as opposed to early like it did yesterday)...
