Game 136 lineups: Nats vs. Mets

The soft portion of the Nationals' schedule is now finished. They just went 4-1 against the Orioles and Marlins. Now, they've got 27 remaining games on the regular season schedule, 24 of which come against teams with winning records.

Eaton-Rounds-3rd-White-sidebar.jpgIt begins today with the opener of a three-game series against the Mets, who are kind of hanging on for dear life at this point, only two games over .500. Of course, we saw only a few weeks ago what they're capable of doing against the Nats, especially late in games. So they'd best not overlook this series.

Adam Eaton returns to the lineup to face Noah Syndergaard. Asdrúbal Cabrera and Matt Adams make up the right side of the infield this afternoon. And, of course, there's Victor Robles, who is merely 4-for-10 with three homers vs. Syndergaard this season.

Joe Ross gets this start, his first against New York this year after several relief appearances. The Nationals would love to get at least five innings out of the right-hander, who will need to keep his pitch count reasonable and show he can get hitters out two (or even three) times.
