The Nationals will have to play another day without Bryce Harper.
Harper, the Nats' leader in pretty much every major offensive statistical category, is out of the lineup for the second straight day after colliding with the right field wall Monday night.
The collision left Harper with a bruised knee and shoulder, and he'll get another day to rest those - among other - ailments.
Denard Span is back in Davey Johnson's lineup tonight after getting most of last night's game off. Steve Lombardozzi will play left field and hit second, and Roger Bernadina will get the start in right, batting eighth.
Johnson has shaken up his lineup a little bit, moving catcher Wilson Ramos up to the No. 6 spot in the order, ahead of Danny Espinosa.
The Nationals will send Ross Detwiler to the hill tonight. The left-hander enters tonight's contest with a 2.53 ERA, and he'll look to even his record, which currently sits at 2-3.
Detwiler allowed just two runs over 6 2/3 innings in a win over the Cubs his last time out. In his career against the Dodgers, Detwiler is 1-1 over four appearances (three starts) and has a 3.10 ERA.
He faced the Dodgers twice last season, allowing four earned runs over 12 innings of work, with nine strikeouts and three walks.
Zack Greinke makes his return from the disabled list tonight for the Dodgers. The $159 million man has been recovering from a broken collarbone suffered in a brawl with the Padres, which occurred on April 11.
Greinke was 1-0 with a 1.59 ERA in his two starts (11 1/3 innings) before breaking the collarbone during a collision with San Diego's Carlos Quentin, who charged the mound after getting hit by a pitch.
