MASN, the television home of the Washington Nationals, today announced its Major League Baseball schedule for the 2014 season. Once again, all Nationals games broadcast by MASN will be available in crystal-clear high definition, including the March 31 season opener against the New York Mets in Flushing, N.Y.
Other highlights of MASN's 2014 Nationals schedule include interleague series against the Baltimore Orioles (July 7-8 and July 9-10), and the Los Angeles Angels (April 21-23), Houston Astros (April 29-30 and June 17-18), Oakland Athletics (May 9-11), Texas Rangers (May 30-June 1) and Seattle Mariners (Aug. 29-31) of the American League West.
The Nationals will have 94 games air live on MASN and MASN HD, and an additional 63 games will be broadcast on MASN2 and MASN2 HD. Five Nationals games are currently scheduled to air on national networks in 2014.
Play-by-play voice Bob Carpenter and color analyst F.P. Santangelo, a seven-year veteran of the major leagues, will again serve as the primary MASN announce team. Carpenter enters his ninth season in the Nationals broadcast booth, while Santangelo begins his fourth campaign with MASN.
MASN will simulcast 20 Nationals games on WUSA 9 in Washington, D.C. These MASN simulcasts on Channel 9 will occur on Friday, April 4, the home opener against the Atlanta Braves, and other select dates.
