It's taken a while, but the Nationals have finally posted their lineup for this afternoon's 3:45 p.m. finale at AT&T Park in San Francisco. Michael Morse, who sat out last night's game after jamming his right thumb Monday night, is back in left field.
Here's Davey Johnson's batting order against San Francisco's Tim Lincecum:
2B Steve Lombardozzi
CF Bryce Harper
3B Ryan Zimmerman
1B Adam LaRoche
LF Michael Morse
RF Jayson Werth
SS Danny Espinosa
C Kurt Suzuki
P Stephen Strasburg
The Giants had originally written Melky Cabrera into their lineup for today's game, but it turns out they'll be without their All-Star leftfielder for a while.
Major League Baseball has announced that Cabrera has been suspended for 50 games for testing positive for a banned substance (testosterone). This is obviously a huge blow to a team which enters today tied for first place in the NL West.
Here's the Giants' Cabrera-less lineup for today:
CF Angel Pagan
2B Ryan Theriot
3B Pablo Sandoval
C Buster Posey
RF Hunter Pence
1B Brandon Belt
LF Gregor Blanco
SS Brandon Crawford
P Tim Lincecum
