The Nationals have announced that tickets for potential Wild Card and NL Division Series games at Nats Park will go on sale to the general public this Friday, September 21 at 10 a.m.
A maximum of four tickets can be purchased online by going to www.nationals.com/postseason or by calling 888-632-NATS (6287). The tickets will, as you might expect, be sold on a first come, first served basis.
The Nats Park box office will also sell a limited number of standing room only tickets the day of each postseason game, subject to availability.
The Nats currently have a magic number of three to clinch a playoff spot and a magic number of 11 to lock up the National League East. They hold a five-game lead over the Braves in the division entering today's action.
On another topic, we just survived a massive rainstorm here at Nats Park.
It was absolutely pouring and the winds were gusting so loudly that we could hear them from the enclosed press box.
There's currently a tornado warning in the area, so it's a good thing that I'm currently in an elevated area shielded by a wall of glass. Sounds like the safest possible scenario.
Looking past the tornado warning, the forecast doesn't appear too good for the rest of the night, either. The Nats don't have any off-days remaining, so if they need to call the game tonight, we'd get a doubleheader one of the next two days.
