Nationals will retain entire coaching staff for 2015

A day after Matt Williams won National League Manager of the Year honors, the Nationals announced that they will welcome back his entire coaching staff from the 2014 season.

All seven members of the Nats coaching staff - bench coach Randy Knorr, pitching coach Steve McCatty, hitting coach Rick Schu, third base coach Bobby Henley, first base coach Tony Tarasco, bullpen coach Matt LeCroy and defensive coordinator/advance coach Mark Weidemaier - will be back in 2015.

After winning NL Manager of the Year honors last night, Williams called it an "organizational award" and credited his coaching staff for helping lead the team to a 96-win season and an NL East title.

"I don't know if there's a staff that works harder at winning every day than ours," Williams said. "I get to sit there and accept the award on behalf of them."

Of the seven Nationals coaches, six had experience coaching in the Washington organization before being elevated to the big league staff.
