The Nationals on Thursday morning announced the scheduled game times for the upcoming regular season.
First pitch for opening day against the Mets at Citi Field is scheduled for a 1:10 p.m. start on Thursday, March 31. Both subsequent games of the opening series on Saturday and Sunday are also starting at 1:10 p.m., possibly including the first time Max Scherzer faces the Nats as a member of the Mets.
The home opener at Nationals Park is scheduled for a 1:05 p.m. first pitch against the Phillies on Monday, April 4. The second game of that home-opening two-game set is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6.
The Nationals will have their traditional 1:05 p.m. starts for Sunday home games, except for a 12:05 p.m. start on June 19 for Juneteenth and the usual league-wide 3 p.m. EDT start time on the last day of the regular season, both games, coincidentally, against the Phillies.
Most of the Nats' Friday night home games are scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m., with the one exception being a 6:05 p.m. start against the Marlins to kick off the July 4 holiday weekend. Most of their Saturday home games are scheduled to start at either 4:05 p.m. or 7:05 p.m., with a 1:05 p.m start scheduled for April 23 against the Giants and a scheduled 7:15 p.m. start against the Cardinals on July 30 for a national broadcast on FOX.
The Nats will play 22 games with scheduled midday or late-afternoon start times between Mondays and Thursdays throughout the season, 13 of which are to be played at home.
As for holidays, the Nats will play at the Mets at 7:10 p.m. on Memorial Day, the traditional 11:05 a.m. start time on Monday, July 4 against the Marlins and a 4:15 p.m. start at the Cardinals on Labor Day.
All game dates and times are subject to change.
