New guest bloggers enter the lineup for the second half

Can you believe we've reached the All-Star break already, Nats fans? Opening day seems like only yesterday, yet here we are in the dog days of summer, halfway through the season. For the Nationals, it's been a dream start to 2012. The Nats currently sit with the best record in the National League at 49-34 and are in position to not only capture the NL East crown, but the franchise's inaugural postseason berth since moving to Washington seven years ago. As for us at MASNsports.com, it's been a first half filled with exciting new elements, both on the Web site and through social media. But just as the team has to remind itself, we're only halfway through the long campaign. It's a marathon, not a sprint. Remember that, kids. So as we head into the second half of the season, there will be a pair of new contributors to sample for the remainder of the year in our weekday guest blogs. Ted Leavengood of Seamheads.com will continue to write on Mondays, before newcomer Steve Walker from District on Deck enters the fray with guest blog posts on Tuesdays. Hump days don't get more much exciting than checking out the work of Rachel Levitin from We Love DC, maybe with the exception of the Thursday musings of newcomer David Huzzard of Citizens of Natstown. Marty Niland of D.C. Baseball History returns in the second half to cap off the week, giving Nationals fans another five-day smorgasbord of diamond content from some of our nation's capital's top baseball bloggers. This could be an historic season in the making for the Nationals. Be sure to keep up to speed on everything in NatsTown by checking out these five guest bloggers.
