VIERA, Fla. - Tyler Moore faced Stephen Strasburg, a 15-game winner last year, during live batting practice yesterday morning.
Moore will square off against Dan Haren, a 10-year veteran and three-time All-Star during live BP today.
"Bring 'em on," Moore said this morning with a chuckle. "Rack 'em up."
It'll be Haren, Ross Ohlendorf, Jeremy Accardo, Ryan Perry and Brendan Mann throwing to hitters on Field 1 this morning.
Moore, Roger Bernadina, Chad Tracy, Jayson Werth, Ryan Zimmerman, Adam LaRoche, Bryce Harper, Ian Desmond, Steve Lombardozzi, Danny Espinosa and Denard Span will be among the hitters to face that group.
Out on Field 4, Jordan Zimmermann will be the first to throw, with Tyler Clippard, Will Ohman, Yunesky Maya, Fernando Abad and Tyler Roark following Zimmermann to the mound.
Zimmermann will face a group of hitters that includes Matt Skole, Carlos Rivero and Chris Marrero.
Meanwhile, the Nationals have posted the pitchers' schedules for the first two Grapefruit League games of the season.
As we know, Strasburg will start the opener at Port St. Lucie against the Mets on Saturday. He'll be piggybacked by Craig Stammen.
The other pitchers making the trip to Port St. Lucie include Mann, Abad, Erik Davis, Cole Kimball and Pat McCoy.
Zimmermann will start the Nationals' spring home opener on Sunday, with Zach Duke, Maya, Accardo, Ohman, Drew Storen and Roark also listed as available pitchers for that game against the Marlins.
