With spring training starting in a few days, it's nearly time for the annual utterance of the four most glorious words in the English language: Pitchers and catchers report.
This week's "Nationals Classics" on MASN offer a smattering of game-winning walk-offs, heroic homers and clutch deliveries.
It's only a couple of weeks before actual Nationals baseball action begins on MASN, so let these games whet your baseball appetites.
Monday, Feb. 13, 1 p.m. - Adam Dunn slugged 76 homers in his two years with the Nats, and his three-run blast on July 7, 2010 helped the home team earn a 7-6 win over the Padres. Who says all the fireworks happen on July 4?
Monday, Feb. 13, 7 p.m. - This game from April 28, 2015 was a doozy. At Turner Field, the Nats spotted the Braves a 9-2 lead, then roared back for a 13-12 victory on a three-run homer in the ninth from Dan Uggla.
Tuesday, Feb. 14, 9 a.m. - Adam LaRoche started his day in this Sept. 3, 2015 game on the bench, then finished with five RBIs in an 8-5 win in 14 innings over the Dodgers at Chavez Ravine.
Wednesday, Feb. 15, 7 p.m. - Everyone knows Bryce Harper can be a streaky hitter, and this 8-6 win over the Braves on May 9, 2015 is another example. Harper's sixth homer in three games, a two-run walk-off in the ninth, was the decisive blow.
Thursday, Feb. 16, 9 a.m. - Chris Heisey played the hero in this April 24, 2016 win over the Twins, which took 16 innings. It could have gone longer, but Heisey walked off Minnesota with a shot to left-center.
Thursday, Feb. 16, 7 p.m. - How about another extra-inning blast for a Nationals win? On Sept. 4, 2016, Michael A. Taylor did the honors, his three-run walk-off in the ninth providing a victory over the Braves.
Sunday, Feb. 19, 1 p.m. - What's a week of "Nationals Classics" without a game-winning Ryan Zimmerman homer? On June 24, 2014, an Anthony Rendon homer tied it in the ninth, then Zimmerman's two-run shot in the 16th capped a 4-2 win over the Brewers at Miller Park.
