Schedule set for live batting practice sessions

VIERA, Fla. - Stephen Strasburg will throw live batting practice this morning. Bryce Harper will hit off live batting practice this morning. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the two former No. 1 overall picks will be facing off against each other out on the minor league fields today during the Nationals' workout. Strasburg is scheduled to be the first pitcher to throw live BP out on Field 1. He'll be followed by Ross Detwiler, Drew Storen, Ryan Mattheus, Bill Bray and Nathan Karns. Harper is among the players who will hit out on Field 1 today, but he's scheduled to start the workout working in the cage along with Ryan Zimmerman (who will likely either just track pitches or hit flips as he works back from offseason shoulder surgery), Jayson Werth and Adam LaRoche. The first group up for live BP - the group likely to face Strasburg - is made up of Tyler Moore, Roger Bernadina and Chad Tracy. Ian Desmond, Steve Lombardozzi, Danny Espinosa and Denard Span will also hit on Field 1. Another group of pitchers will throw live BP on Field 4, starting with Gio Gonzalez. Scheduled to take the mound after Gonzalez are Craig Stammen, Zach Duke, Christian Garcia, Cole Kimball, Erik Davis and Pat McCoy. The group of hitters out on Field 4 will consist of Matt Skole, Carlos Rivero, Chris Marrero, Anthony Rendon, Eury Perez, Corey Brown, Will Rhymes and Zack Walters.
