Span in, Zimmerman out in Bronx finale (with lineups)

The Nationals will get their second look at Yankees right-hander Nathan Eovaldi this season. Ian Desmond and Bryce Harper both tagged Eovaldi for solo homers on May 19 as the Nats scored five runs in his 4 1/3 innings.

Harper bombed his 20th homer of the year in last night's loss. The blast came in the 58th game, making Harper the fastest player to reach the 20-homer mark in Nationals history (2005-present).

Harper trails only Miami slugger Giancarlo Stanton for the major league lead in home runs and RBIs. What can't be lost in Harper's hefty power numbers is that the 22-year-old also owns the sixth-best batting average (.330) in all of baseball.

Yunel Escobar collected two more hits last night to raise his average to .328, the fifth-best mark in the National League. Over his last seven games, Escobar is 11-for-26 (.423) with two doubles.

Denard Span is set to return to the lineup after dealing with back spasms since late in Sunday's loss.

Ryan Zimmerman is out though. The 11-year veteran has been bothered by plantar fasciitis for most of the season. Zimmerman's average has dipped to .209 as he is stuck in a 1-for-24 slump. Tyler Moore gets the start at first base.
