Starting lineups: Nats vs. Astros in Viera

VIERA, Fla. - I really not to complain about the weather while in Florida, because I know it falls on deaf ears up north. But facts are facts, and the fact is, it's really cold here today. The Space Coast Stadium thermometer read 48 degrees when the Nationals emerged from the clubhouse to begin stretching around 10 a.m. It's going to warm up a bit by gametime, but there's also a 20 mph steady wind blowing from the northwest. Not exactly pristine conditions for spring training.

Gonzalez-Throws-Blue-Sidebar.jpgOK, that's the end of the weather report for today. The Nationals host the Astros, with Gio Gonzalez taking the mound four days after he left town for the birth of his first son, Enzo. Gonzalez surely is exhausted right now, but surely he'll also be running on adrenaline this afternoon. He's scheduled to go five innings or 80 pitches.

Many of the Nats' regulars are back in the lineup for the second straight day, getting some good work in before tomorrow's lone off-day of the spring. Dusty Baker is trying out another look today, with Michael A. Taylor leading off, Anthony Rendon batting second and Daniel Murphy batting fifth.
