Clint Robinson smacked a solo homer to left off Braves right-hander Ryan Weber with one out in the second. It was Robinson's ninth home run of the season.
Both Nats runs in this series have come from solo taters.
Stephen Strasburg has yielded two hits with one walk through two scoreless frames.
Update: Strasburg turned in his fifth straight quality start, tossing six shutout innings while allowing just six hits with one walk and seven strikeouts.
Weber's only blemish was Robinson's homer as the Nationals' offense continues to struggle. The Braves rookie fanned 10 Nats' hitters while surrendering just five hits without a walk.
Nationals right-hander Blake Treinen gave up a hit and a walk in the seventh but escaped without allowing a run.
Update II: The Braves helped the Nats add a couple insurance runs in the eighth. Wilson Ramos knocked a single to right to start the frame and then Wilmer Difo entered to pinch run.
Yunel Escobar then drew a walk. Two batters later, Trea Turner hit a ground ball to Braves third baseman Adonis Garcia who tried to turn a double play but ended up throwing the ball into right field, allowing Difo to score.
Bryce Harper followed with a another potential inning-ending double play grounder to shortstop Andrelton Simmons, but Harper beat out the throw and Escobar scored.
Left-hander Felipe Rivero pitched a perfect eighth.
Update III: Rivero retired all six batters he faced to claim his first career save.
The Nationals beat the Braves 3-0.
