Orioles right-hander Miguel Gonzalez is facing the Diamondbacks for the first time tonight. Gonzalez is 11-5 with a 3.18 ERA in 23 career outings against an opponent he's faced in the past, and the Orioles are 16-7 in those 23 games. Wieters hit his 16th home run last night, which ties him with Atlanta's Brian McCann for the most by a catcher since the start of the 2011 season (61). He's on pace to drive in 151 runs, which would break Miguel Tejada's club record of 150 set in 2004. Davis has more RBIs through 118 games than any other Orioles hitter in franchise history. He's one ahead of Boog Powell's total in 1969. J.J. Hardy, a graduate of Tucson's Sabino High School, has hit safely in nine straight games since Aug. 1, batting .286 (10-for-35) with a double, three homers, six RBIs and six runs scored. The nine-game streak is his second-longest of the season behind a 13-game streak from May 3-18.
