Berken headed back to Norfolk

The Orioles made room for second baseman Robert Andino on their 25-man roster today by optioning pitcher Jason Berken to Triple-A Norfolk. Andino rejoined the team today after spending two days in Miami for the birth of his third child and first daughter. He's starting at second base tonight. Jim Johnson was discharged from Saint Agnes Hospital this morning and will be in the bullpen tonight, though he's probably not available to pitch. Nolan Reimold's neck stiffness has subsided and he's starting in left field again. Kevin Gregg was a DL possibility, but he remains active. Berken didn't pitch during the two games that he was in uniform. He'll be slotted again into Norfolk's rotation, where he's allowed one earned run in 15 innings over three starts.
