Bryce Harper appeared to cramp up after double to start rally, status unknown for Thursday

Right fielder Bryce Harper scored the winning run as the Nationals dropped the Braves 2-1 in 11 innings. He started the rally with a double. But the big concern after the game was the way he went into second base awkwardly on his right leg. It appeared at first that maybe he had reinjured his left hamstring.

Manager Matt Williams said during post game that it was not the hamstring, but instead it was pain in his right leg.

"It was a cramp when he went into second," Williams said. "Standing there it got a little bit better. He told me he could score if there was a base hit. So, it subsided a little bit, we'll see how it acts when he wakes up in the morning."

Williams said after the intentional walk to Wilson Ramos, the Clint Robinson at-bat was a huge moment. Robinson was able to work a walk off of Braves reliever David Aardsma.

"We don't know the status of Harp at that point really," Williams said. "We're down to the last guys, if we pinch hit there, then we have nobody left. Clint just put a nice at-bat on. Didn't chase out of the zone, was able to work a walk there to set Desi up. Really nice at-bat."

Williams said Harper will be evaluated tonight and tomorrow. He will have most likely have treatment on his leg before Thursday's game.

"Doc'll take a look at him, trainers will take a look at him when we get back in there and we'll see what we got," Williams said.
