Contestants set for Second Annual Orioles Cook-Off

Last summer, the Orioles and the ESPN Zone teamed up to bring you the first annual Orioles Cook-Off with Brian Roberts, Jeremy Guthrie and (winner) Gregg Zaun. For this year's Second Annual Orioles Cook-Off, Brad Bergesen, Kevin Millwood, and Luke Scott will battle for the title of the best chef in Birdland. Orioles-Cook-off_2009.jpg On Wednesday, May 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. the trio of Orioles teammates will trade their gloves for oven mitts at the ESPN Zone during the second annual cook-off event to again benefit the Maryland Food Bank. Look forward to Brad Bergesen's "Simple Salmon", Kevin Millwood's chicken enchiladas, and Luke Scott's take on Surf and Turf. At last year's event, each player had his own cooking station in front of the big screen TV at the ESPN Zone, and when the entrees were ready, a panel of judges (last year including MASNsports.com's own Roch Kubatko) rated the dishes to determine a winner. Chicken enchiladas secured first place for Gregg Zaun at the inaugural O's cook-off, but you'll have to come out and see if they work out as well for Millwood this time around. Admission to the event is free, but the Orioles suggest that fans donate either $5 or three canned goods at the door. All donations will benefit the Maryland Food Bank, and in addition to helping out a good cause, all fans who make a donation will receive one autographed card from either Bergesen, Scott, or Millwood before the end of the afternoon.
