Donnie Hart also joining Orioles

The Orioles aren't done making bullpen moves. They're also recalling left-hander Donnie Hart from Triple-A Norfolk today to join right-hander Jhan Mariñez.

Hart has posted a 3.68 ERA and 1.909 WHIP in eight games with the Orioles this season, his seat reserved on the shuttle. He's allowed three earned runs (four total) and 12 hits in 7 1/3 innings, with two walks and three strikeouts.

The Orioles most recently called up Hart on June 26 while placing Dylan Bundy on the disabled list. He was optioned two days later.

Hart-Throws-White-Sidebar.jpgHart has been steadier with Norfolk, registering a 2.10 ERA and 1.233 WHIP in 24 appearances, including his first start. He's allowed seven runs and 29 hits with eight walks and 37 strikeouts in 30 innings.

It's been four days since Hart pitched, making him available tonight out of the bullpen.

A corresponding move will need to be made, and left-hander Paul Fry is a possibility to be optioned. Fry has be used the past two nights and three of the last four.

Outfielder Jace Peterson could play tonight if needed, though his knee is still sore after slamming it against the wall last night in Game 2.

X-rays taken on the knee were negative.

Alex Cobb still is expected to make his next start after leaving Sunday's game in Minnesota with a blister on his right index finger. He seems to be fine.

Chris Tillman will pitch tonight at Single-A Frederick and could make one more start on his rehab assignment.
