Duchscherer feeling fine this morning (updated)

SARASOTA, Fla. - Justin Duchscherer remains encouraged by the condition of his left hip this morning. "Everything was OK yesterday," he said. "It's one of those weird things where guys who have surgery and come back might have a day or two where they just feel concerned, worried. So far, since the other day, everything's felt fine. I threw off flat ground, and they have a half mound, and everything was fine. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed and hoping it was just a one-day cranky hip." Duchscherer was frustrated and discouraged a few days ago when he couldn't work out because of soreness in the hip. His mood changed later after he played catch, and it continued to improve yesterday. "I felt like, 'Oh no,' that kind of feeling," he said. "But sometimes you get ahead of yourself, which I think I did a little bit. Now we're back, hopefully, to getting back to my progression and getting ready." We're still waiting for the lineup. Jeremy Guthrie, Rick VandenHurk, Mark Hendrickson, Jason Berken, David Riske and Armando Gabino are scheduled to pitch.
