Game 117 lineups: Nats at Rockies

DENVER - Greetings from the Mile High City and Coors Field! Remember, the purple line of seats in the upper deck designates the 5,280 foot mark here at the stadium.

The welcome sight of right fielder Bryce Harper back in the Nationals lineup Sunday had to be a good thing for his teammates and an uncomfortable one for the Rockies and their pitching staff.

scherzer-pitching-gray-close-sidebar.jpgRight-hander Max Scherzer will make his 25th start of the season, and he's been enjoying a hot streak the past month and a half. Since June 29, Scherzer has gone 4-2 with a 1.44 ERA over 56 1/3 innings, with 70 strikeouts and only 11 walks. He has 37 strikeouts in his last four starts.

Scherzer had a penchant for allowing home runs early in the season, so he will have to be careful in a hitter's park tonight. Scherzer is 1-4 with a 4.35 ERA in seven career starts against the Rockies, allowing 20 earned runs and 46 hits over 41 1/3 innings.

The Rockies counter with veteran left-hander Jorge De La Rosa, who is 7-7 with a 5.25 ERA in 17 starts this season. In 10 starts against the Nationals, De La Rosa is 5-2 with a 3.71 ERA.
