Game 53 lineups: Nats at Orioles

BALTIMORE - Jeremy Hellickson's two months as an Oriole late last summer were, to put it bluntly, not good. You can't sugarcoat a 6.97 ERA in 10 starts. Hellickson's first two months as a National, however, have been nothing short of brilliant. You can't describe a 2.13 ERA in seven starts any other way.

Hellickson-Throwing-Gray-Sidebar.jpgTonight, Hellickson gets a chance to show Baltimore how far he's come. Which isn't to say another dominant start is a given. This is a hitter's ballpark, and especially so with the temperature and the humidity up today. And the Orioles lineup, for all its struggles at times this season, still has the ability to hit the ball out of the yard. We shall see how this plays out.

Davey Martinez is going with what has become his standard lineup against Orioles right-hander Dylan Bundy. That means Bryce Harper batting second, followed by Anthony Rendon, Matt Adams (who is DH for the second straight day) and Mark Reynolds at first base. Juan Soto again gets the nod in left field, batting sixth.
