The Nationals scored nine runs last night, so you can understand why Davey Martinez is going with the same lineup tonight (aside from a swap of catchers, and of course pitchers). That does mean, however, that Michael A. Taylor is again on the bench, despite the fact he's 12-for-22 with a .600 on-base percentage and 1.236 OPS the last two weeks.
That lineup is going up against right-hander Andrew Cashner, one of the Orioles' big offseason signings who like the rest of the team has been enduring through a difficult year. He's 2-8 with a 4.98 ERA in 13 starts.
Gio Gonzalez starts for the Nationals, and he was outstanding when he pitched at Camden Yards last month: 7 2/3 scoreless innings. Things haven't gone as well for the lefty since; he has allowed 12 runs and 20 hits in 16 1/3 innings over his last three outings.
