Gausman vs. LeBlanc tonight in Seattle

Thanks to the Orioles, we now know that a team can set a June home run record in July.

Ah, West Coast life.

Hyun Soo Kim hit a solo shot last night in the seventh inning to give the Orioles 56 in June, eclipsing the 1996 Athletics, who must leave the champagne on ice.

Kim is 12-for-27 in his last seven starts, with two doubles, two home runs, seven RBIs, five walks and six runs scored, but he's probably on the bench tonight against Mariners left-hander Wade LeBlanc (who was great as Joey in "Friends").

Manny Machado went 2-for-4 last night/this morning and is batting .523 (23-for-44) with four doubles, a home run, nine RBIs and 10 runs scored during a 10-game hitting streak.

Adam Jones is batting .396 (19-for-48) during an 11-game hitting streak, with two doubles, three home runs, 10 RBIs, four walks and 15 runs scored.

Kevin Gausman picked up his first win in his last start, shutting out the Rays on four hits over 7 2/3 innings. He has a 2.79 ERA in six home starts and a 5.11 ERA in seven road starts.

Gausman is 0-1 with a 2.63 ERA in two career starts against the Mariners, both coming at Safeco Field. They're batting .341 (14-for-41) against him.

Robinson Cano is 5-for-9 with a triple and Adam Lind is 3-for-6 with a double.

LeBlanc is pitching for his sixth team in eight seasons. In his Mariners debut a week ago, he shut out the Cardinals on three hits over six innings.

Left-handers are hitting .317 against LeBlanc in his career, if that influences manager Buck Showalter's lineup. Right-handers are hitting .259.

LeBlanc has made one career start against the Orioles, in June 2010, and held them to one run over 6 2/3 innings. The current group is 1-for-12 against him, with Pedro Alvarez having the only hit in five at-bats.
