Hagerstown's Caleb Ramsey named South Atlantic League Player of the Week

Hagerstown Suns All-Star outfielder Caleb Ramsey was named South Atlantic League Player of the Week for Aug. 20-26 following an incredible six-game run. Ramsey hit .556 (10-for-18) with two doubles, three triples, 10 RBIs, five runs, two walks and one stolen base. He struck out just once. From Aug. 19-23, Ramsey smacked 11 hits and had 10 RBIs in a five-game span. Ramsey joins former teammates in outfielder Steven Souza Jr. and right-hander Alex Meyer as South Atlantic League Player/Pitcher of the Week award winners. Meyer was Pitcher of the Week for June 11-17. Souza was the Player of the Week for July 2-8. Ramsey, out of the University of Houston, is hitting .296 in 121 games for Hagerstown, totaling 15 doubles, 10 triples, six homers and 65 RBIs with 21 stolen bases. His on-base percentage is .353 for the season. He is hitting .323 in 22 games in August.
