Hardy has broken bone in right wrist

Orioles shortstop J.J. Hardy confirmed today that he sustained a small fracture in a bone in his right wrist and is headed to the disabled list.
Hardy underwent a CT scan that confirmed what X-rays showed yesterday.
Hardy said the recovery time will be four to six weeks before he's cleared for baseball activities. He figures to miss two months of the season.
The injury occurred yesterday in the fourth inning when a 93 mph fastball from the Cardinals' Lance Lynn slammed into Hardy's wrist. Hardy came out of the game in the sixth.
Hardy sat at his locker this afternoon with a cast on his wrist, the tape covering his forearm.
"We did a CT scan today and it showed what they saw on the X-ray. It's a small bone and non-displaced fracture," Hardy said.
"I didn't know it would be broken. It was definitely sore and it hurt, but I didn't know it would be something broken."
Hardy will be examined by a hand specialist on Tuesday.
The disappointment for Hardy was obvious as he addressed the media.
"I felt like I was making strides getting out of the funk I was in and than this happens, so very frustrating," he said.
Hardy hadn't suffered a broken bone until last season, when he fouled a ball of his left foot and missed seven weeks.
