The Orioles and White Sox are tied, 1-1, in the sixth inning. Ageless Omar Vizquel hustled to second base while Juan Pierre was caught in a rundown in the fifth, and he scored on Alex Rios' two-out single. Guthrie is trying to give the rotation six consecutive quality starts. He's given up seven earned runs in his last 32 1/3 innings. Toronto's Brandon Morrow is no-hitting Tampa Bay through seven innings today. He struck out the side in the seventh, giving him 14. His pitch count stands at 102. Brandon Waring his his 18th homer today for Double-A Bowie. It's a good day to be Brandon. White Sox second baseman Gordon Beckham left the game with a strained groin. It's not a good day to be Gordon. Update: Corey Patterson walked to open the sixth, and back-to-back doubles by Nick Markakis and Ty Wigginton gave the Orioles a 3-1 lead. Third base coach Gary Allenson was leaping off the ground while waving Patterson home on Markakis' drive to left-center field. Update II: Morrow has struck out 16 over eight hitless innings. His pitch count is up to 115.
