Hyun Soo Kim out of lineup, Matt Wieters catching

SARASOTA, Fla. - Hyun Soo Kim is out of the Orioles lineup again for tonight's game against the Braves, which is in doubt due to heavy rain.

Kim also was held back from the last two games in Bradenton and Fort Myers. He was in the clubhouse this afternoon and spent a few minutes with his interpreter checking the lineup card after it was posted.

Ryan Flaherty is in left field tonight. Matt Wieters is catching and batting second.

Wieters remains confident that he will be ready opening day. An assignment to the disabled list no longer could be backdated to March 25.

Brian Matusz threw 20 pitches today in an intrasquad game at Twin Lakes Park and said he will rest for two days and go two innings on Friday.

Kevin Gausman will throw from 120 feet on Wednesday and will throw a bullpen session on Friday, his first since receiving a cortisone injection in his right shoulder. He remains unsure whether he will come off the disabled list in time to start April 10. His goal is to pitch by the second week of the season.

Gausman said he will stay in Sarasota after the Orioles break camp.
