I hate being "that" guy

It's such a shame that the Orioles have turned me into one of those guys who sits there wondering how they're going to lose a game. It would be a crying shame, but I don't want you to see me cry. I thought David Hernandez's rising pitch count would pose a serious problem. I envisioned how he'd run into trouble, Will Ohman would be removed too soon and Alfredo Simon would take a two-run lead into the ninth, which he did, though I anticipated a 4-2 score instead of 5-3. I didn't think it would end well, but it did. And I hate that I thought it would turn sour like glove-compartment milk. Sorry, Alfredo. I owe you one. David Hernandez allowed one run and one hit in 5 1/3 innings. Terrific. But he walked five and threw 105 pitches - only 59 for strikes. It would be a no-brainer to keep him in the rotation if the Orioles didn't have other options, but they have two in Triple-A Norfolk. Would it make more sense to turn him into a long reliever and call up Chris Tillman or Jake Arrieta? Speaking of the bullpen, it will be fried for tomorrow's game. Manager Dave Trembley won't find many guys who are available. Koji Uehara should be OK if he can handle the walk from the curb to the clubhouse. Tonight should be the toughest test for the Orioles. I'd like to think they have an edge tomorrow with Brad Bergesen on the mound. I'd like to think they can at least take two of three, if not sweep the Nationals. I'd like to think that, but I tend to be a negative guy these days. And I blame the Orioles. Down on the farm, Triple-A Norfolk beat Pawtucket, 3-2, when Robert Andino hit a two-out, walk-off single off former Oriole Chad Paronto. Josh Bell had three hits, including two doubles. Brandon Snyder added an RBI double.
