Jones and Reynolds return to lineup (Adams update)

Adam Jones is starting in center field tonight and Mark Reynolds is back at first base. The lineup looks fairly normal again. Jones hasn't started since Sept. 9 because of a sprained right thumb. For the Orioles: Robert Andino 2B J.J. Hardy SS Nick Markakis RF Vladimir Guerrero DH Matt Wieters C Adam Jones CF Mark Reynolds 1B Chris Davis 3B Nolan Reimold LF Rick VandenHurk RHP VandenHurk hasn't pitched since Sept. 10 in Toronto, when he allowed three runs and three hits, including two homers, and walked two batters in 2 1/3 innings. Adrian Gonzalez is 2-for-3 with a double and home run against VandenHurk. For the Red Sox: Ellsbury CF Pedroia 2B Gonzalez 1B Ortiz DH Reddick RF Crawford LF Scutaro SS Saltalamacchia C Aviles 3B Bedard LHP Bedard has a 2.70 ERA in three career starts against his former team spanning 16 2/3 innings. Guerrero is 6-for-16 with a double and home run against Bedard. Jones is 4-for-8. Update: Manager Buck Showalter told reporters in Boston that second baseman Ryan Adams is sidelined with a sports hernia that might require surgery. Adams went 2-for-4 last night in his first start since Sept. 13.
