Jones homers in second inning (O's lead 6-0)

Adam Jones gave the Orioles a 1-0 lead in the second inning with his first home run of the season. Jones went to the opposite field against Twins starter Francisco Liriano, who struck out the side in the first inning. Jones has two homers in eight career at-bats against Liriano. Liriano has four strikeouts in two innings tonight. Orioles starter Tommy Hunter has allowed three hits in two innings, though his line includes two infield singles and a ground ball up the middle that barely eluded second baseman Robert Andino. Hunter has two strikeouts. He's thrown 28 pitches, 19 for strikes. The Orioles are wearing their orange Saturday home jerseys. Not a bad look, though I'm suddenly craving a creamsicle. Update: The Orioles scored two more runs in the third to expand their lead to 3-0. Ronny Paulino led off with a single, and he scored all the way from first base on Robert Andino's single and an error by left fielder Josh Willingham, who let the ball bounce past him. Nolan Reimold reached on an infield hit, and Andino scored when J.J. Hardy hit into a double play. Nick Markakis singled with two outs, giving the Orioles four hits in the inning. Update II: Liriano is done after four innings. The Orioles scored three more runs in the fourth to lead, 6-0. Mark Reynolds walked with out one, Paulino doubled with two outs, and they both scored on Andino's single. Andino took second on another Willingham error, and he scored on Reimold's second hit.
