Kieboom, Braymer, Crowe and Noll honored with Nationals minor league awards

The Nationals announced their minor league awards today. Infielder Carter Kieboom was named the Nats organization's 2018 Minor League Player of the Year. Left-handed pitcher Ben Braymer and right-handed pitcher Wil Crowe are the 2018 co-Minor League Pitchers of the Year. Infielder Jake Noll is the winner of the sixth-annual Bob Boone Award.

Nationals President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Mike Rizzo made the announcement. The Nationals said these players will be honored in a ceremony during 2019 spring training.

Kieboom, 21, had a standout season, hitting .280 with 31 doubles, one triple, 16 homers and 69 RBIs. He played for high Single-A Potomac and Double-A Harrisburg.

Kieboom is listed as the No. 34 prospect in all of baseball, according to MLBPipeline.com. Baseball America lists him as the No. 45 prospect, as well as the No. 5 prospect in the Eastern League. Carter is the younger brother of Nats catcher Spencer Kieboom.

The 24-year-old left-hander Braymer had the best ERA in the Nats system, at 2.28, and went 9-3 with two saves in 28 games, making 11 starts. He struck out 118 batters in 114 2/3 innings. Braymer played for low Single-A Hagerstown and high Single-A Potomac.

Crowe was 11-5 with a 3.40 ERA in 22 games, with 21 starts. He finished the season ranked as the No. 5 prospect in the Nats system, according to MLBPipeline.com.

Crowe, 24, started 11-0 with a 2.60 ERA with Potomac and Harrisburg and was named a Carolina League mid-season All-Star before being promoted to Harrisburg on Aug. 7. Following the season, he was named Carolina League Pitcher of the Year for the entire 2018 season.

Noll, 24, is the sixth recipient of the Bob Boone Award, which is granted annually to the Nationals minor leaguer who best demonstrates the professionalism, leadership, loyalty, passion, selflessness, durability, determination and work ethic required to play the game the "Washington Nationals Way."

Noll hit .291 with 20 doubles, four triples, 11 home runs, 72 RBIs, 33 walks, seven stolen bases and 82 runs scored in 132 games between Potomac and Harrisburg. His 72 RBIs were tops in the Nats system as well.
