LUNGevity Foundation's Breathe Deep Baltimore 5K walk moved to Oct. 18

Due to inclement weather, the LUNGevity Foundation's Breathe Deep Baltimore 5K walk has been moved to Oct. 18. The event raises funds and awareness for lung cancer in memory of late Orioles public relations director Monica Pence Barlow.

The walk will take sports fans on a scenic walk around Oriole Park and M&T Bank Stadium before a finish on the field at Camden Yards.

All proceeds of the walk benefit LUNGevity, which is "a non-profit firmly committed to changing outcomes for people living with lung cancer by accelerating research into early detection and more effective treatments, as well as providing community, support, and education for all those affected by the disease."

Registration begins at 7 a.m., and all participants receive a T-shirt and refreshments. Registration fees are $25 for adults, $15 for students and seniors, and $10 for youth. There is no race fee for lung cancer survivors and children 4 and under.

Any registrants who signed up for the original walk are automatically registered for the new Oct. 18 date.
