"MASN All Access" podcast: Enrolling in the School of Roch

Attention, attention: Class is in session.

Even though it's late April, Paul and I are heading back to school - the School of Roch that is - as MASNsports.com's Orioles beat writer Roch Kubatko joins us on the latest episode of the "MASN All Access" podcast.

The Orioles are in a slump. Everyone knows that. They have lost three straight, are 1-9 in their last 10 games and are in last place 11 1/2 games back in the American League East. Are there any rays of sunshine in sight?

MAA-podcast-logo-sidebar.jpgRoch tries to remain positive and give Orioles fans hope that this team will turn it around soon. For what it's worth, he says this is NOT the worst Orioles team he has covered. So we've got that going for us, which is nice.

We discuss the current slump and how long before the Orioles break out of it. Or more appropriately, how long before it's too little, too late. We also touch on the current state of the roster with all the injuries and Rule 5 players, and why this team can't put together a complete win. And Roch gives us some insight on Alex Cobb's progress before his start tonight against his former team.

I also propose my cold weather theory to Roch to see if he agrees that the bats will heat up as the temperatures eventually do.

To close out on a fun, positive note, Paul and I propose different songs where Roch could insert his name ("Roch the Casbah," "Roch You Like a Hurricane," etc.) and find out which one he would use as his walk-up song.
