MASN, the television home of the defending American League East champion Baltimore Orioles, today announced its Major League Baseball schedulefor the 2015 season. Once again, all Orioles games broadcast by MASN will be available in crystal-clear high definition, including the season opener at Tropicana Field against the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday, April 6.
Other highlights of MASN's 2015 Orioles schedule include interleague games against the Washington Nationals (July 10-12 and Sept. 21-23), New York Mets (May 5-6 and Aug. 18-19), Miami Marlins (May 22-24), Philadelphia Phillies (June 15-16 and June 17-18) and Atlanta Braves (July 27-29) of the National League East.
The Orioles will have 91 games air live on MASN and MASN HD, and an additional 66 games will be broadcast on MASN2 and MASN2 HD. Five Orioles games are currently scheduled to air on national networks in 2015.
Gary Thorne and Jim Hunter will again share play-by-play duties in the MASN broadcast booth, where they will be joined by Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Jim Palmer and Orioles Hall of Fame shortstop Mike Bordick as color analysts. Thorne begins his 30th season of Major League Baseball play-by-play coverage, his ninth with the Orioles, and Hunter returns for an 19th season as part of the Orioles broadcast team. Palmer enters his 23rd season as a color analyst for the Orioles, his only team in a 19-year major league career. Bordick is in his fourth season in the MASN booth.
MASN will again simulcast 20 Orioles games on WJZ-TV (Channel 13), its sole over-the-air partner since 2007. These MASN simulcasts on WJZ-TV will occur on Friday, April 10, for the home opener against the Toronto Blue Jays, and on select weekend dates.
