More Orioles chatter following 14-5 win

NEW YORK - Lots of Orioles quotes coming out of the visiting clubhouse at Yankee Stadium. Here's a sampling. Buck Showalter on offense breaking out: "It's not that big of a deal. We can't live in that world. You trust your guys and their track record. These are the best pitchers in the world and you try to keep that in mind. You don't just go up there and say, 'I did this last year.' Nobody cares. And tomorrow will be another challenge. That's what it is. Every day you've got to live in the moment and not live in the past or try to get too far in the future, and it's hard to do because it's such a long season. "We strung some good at-bats together and got some things done. Stayed on our feet. Wei-Yin (Chen) toughed out five innings. He's better than that and hopefully he will be for us to get where we want to get." Showalter on bottom of the order: "(Jonathan Schoop's) going to be fine. So is Ryan (Flaherty). It's just, they've got so much want-to going on right now and sometimes you can't get in the flow of letting it happen. And try as you may, you can't get them to look at the big picture, so you've got to keep making sure that they get confidence from the confidence you have in them." Showalter on Delmon Young: "The computer tells you the heck with batting orders. Just take your best hitter and hit him first and your second-best hitter and hit him second. I'm not so sure they're not right. But we had a void there with J.J. (Hardy) out and David (Lough) didn't start today, so it just fit for us better. That was one of three or four that we had. I think Delmon has a chance to have a good game regardless of where we play him. He's only 28 years old, but he's got a lot of at-bats in baseball, and he swung it well today for us. We needed it." Adam Jones on two fans running onto the field in the eighth inning: "I let them know how I felt. Obviously, a lot of choice words because I think it's idiotic for people to run on the field and I think the punishment needs to be a lot harsher and they should let us have a shot to kick them with our metal spikes on because it's stupid. You look like a (idiot) when you run on the field. We don't go to any other events. We don't go to other sporting events and do that to their jobs, but they come to ours and do that. "I get it, you're drunk and you want to be on SportsCenter. Your (butt) is going to jail with a fine and you might not be allowed to come back to the ballpark. I remember a couple of years ago, one dude broke his ankle in Baltimore. I was laughing at him. I wish he shattered his femur because it's stupid. It's just plain old stupid. Anybody who does it, I wish the cops tase the living (crap) out of them. I wish that." Wei-Yin Chen on his start: "It wasn't my best out there. My teammates scored a lot of runs for me, so I feel happy it was a win for the team. I'm happy for that." Chen on his poor fastball command: "That was one of the things I need to work on, but also I need to get more change of speed. This time I feel a little bit worse than the last outing, but it's something I will try to work on and get better before my next outing." Ryan Flaherty on his three-hit day after slow start: "Nobody wants to start off 1-for-21, but you have to keep strong on the field, keep working hard and have better at-bats and get better." Flaherty on a fan running toward him: "I wasn't sure whether to get out of the way of the guy or tackle him. He was there, but it was kind of funny. The security guys were just saying, 'Leave him alone, leave him alone, leave him alone,' so I just stayed there and watched. I think he was trying to use me as a shield to protect himself from the security guard, but no, that was the first time he came that close."
