Morse joins O's in New York (plus pregame notes)

NEW YORK - Michael Morse has joined the Orioles in New York after the team was unsure whether he'd get here until Sunday. Morse said he got in last night and is excited to be here, a part of a pennant race. He added that he's 100 percent physically. It's not yet known whether he'll be in the lineup, so I'll have that along with more from the newest Oriole later. Matt Wieters is hitless in his last 19 at-bats. Nate McLouth is 0-for-12 since homering on Aug. 25. J.J. Hardy is hitless in his last 11 at-bats. Nick Markakis' three-hit game last night was the 21st of his career against the Yankees, the most by an Oriole in club history. He was tied with Brooks Robinson. Markakis' 21 3-hit games against New York are the most by an active player, according to STATS. Manny Machado has driven in a run in a career-high five straight games. He has three consecutive multi-hit games on the road for the third time this year. Adam Jones recorded his eighth outfield assist last night. Since becoming an Oriole in 2008, Jones leads the majors with 56 assists from center field. The Dodgers' Matt Kemp is second with 47. Here are the pitching matchups for the series in Cleveland: Monday: Bud Norris (9-10, 4.13 ERA) vs. Justin Masterson (14-9, 3.49 ERA) Tuesday: Chris Tillman (15-4, 3.61 ERA) vs. Ubaldo Jimenez (9-9, 3.95 ERA) Wednesday: Miguel Gonzalez (8-7, 4.11 ERA) vs. Zach McAllister (7-7, 3.51 ERA)
