Night shift (updated twice)

A very underrated movie. Also a keen strategy by the Orioles that got Brad Bergesen through the first inning without any real damage. The Orioles shifted their infield with two outs in the first inning, Victor Martinez on first base and left-handed slugger David Ortiz at the plate. A typical maneuver that worked perfectly as Ortiz sent a sharp grounder past first baseman Ty Wigginton. The ball was headed for right field, but Brian Roberts had moved to the exact spot and made the pickup and throw. Red Sox fans started to cheer before realizing that Roberts was almost behind Wigginton. Just another 4-3 putout. Bergesen allowed an infield hit and walked a batter, but he was back in the dugout after 16 pitches with the game still scoreless. J.D. Drew grounded into a double play before Martinez walked and the Orioles played Ortiz to pull. Instant update: Adrian Beltre homered on Bergesen's first pitch of the second inning, giving him 25 on the season to go with a .323 average and 92 RBIs. Update II: Nasty inning. The Red Sox sent 10 batters to the plate and scored five runs, only two of them earned. The last two were delivered by Ortiz, who slapped an 0-2 pitch into left-center field. An earlier run scored on Wigginton's error. Bergesen has walked three batters and his pitch count is up to 52. Rick VandenHurk was warming in the bullpen.
