Now and later

Koji Uehara tossed another scoreless inning today at Double-A Bowie. Check out coverage of Koji's outing in Steve Melewski's blog here. He made the drive down to Prince George's Stadium. The Baysox are playing a morning game, but don't look for the Orioles to activate Uehara from the disabled list later today. That would be a tad early. They'll want to check on him tomorrow and make sure his hamstring didn't tighten up. A move could be coming soon, however. I know you've missed Jiwon Bang. The Orioles will face Yankees right-hander A.J. Burnett tonight at Camden Yards as they attempt to win a series. We can dream later about the Orioles winning a Series. Burnett is 9-2 lifetime against them. He also sports a 5.23 ERA. Nice run support. Nick Markakis is a career .314 hitter in 35 at-bats against Burnett. Adam Jones is 5-for-22 (.227), but that includes a home run. Nolan Reimold is 3-for-4 with a home run. Luke Scott is 6-for-15 with two home runs. Miguel Tejada is 5-for-15. Don't call up Corey Patterson. He's 1-for-17.
